Cristina Jiménez Will Join Ruth Wilson Gilmore and Maurice Mitchell in Dialogue
A woman with long brown hair, Cristina Jiménez, smiles in front of a brick wall next to a colorful book cover titled "Dreaming of Home: How We Turn Fear into Pride, Power, and Real Change.
We are beyond excited to announce that Cristina Jiménez will be joining Ruth Wilson Gilmore and Maurice Mitchell in dialogue virtually during the Racial Justice Summit!
Cristina Jiménez is an award-winning community organizer, political strategist, and one of the leading voices in the immigrant justice movement. She is the Co-Founder and former Executive Director of United We Dream (UWD), the largest immigrant youth-led organization in the country. Under Cristina’s leadership, United We Dream grew to over one million members and played a critical role in securing the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, protecting over 600,000 undocumented young people.
We greatly look forward to the generative dialogue between Cristina, Ruth, and Maurice who will weave their experiences, wisdom, and practices together for how we become the liberation ecosystem.
