Dr. Sagashus Levingston is a writer, speaker, educator, and founder of Infamous Mothers®. She holds a PhD in Literature and uses story, writing, and lived experience to explore how women make and remake their lives. Her work sits at the intersection of race, gender, motherhood, leadership, healing, and economic possibility. She is the author of A Pot to Piss In, a memoir about relationships, power, poverty, possibility, and the value of owning our stories. Through Infamous Mothers, she creates spaces where women can examine what they have inherited, reclaim what belongs to them, and imagine lives beyond the stories and systems that have attempted to define them. A mother of six, Dr. Levingston believes writing is more than a way to document who we have been—it can be one of the ways we participate in becoming who we are.
