Elisa Lopez (she/her/ella) is the Rapid Response Attorney at the Community Immigration Law Center in Madison, WI. Elisa represents detained clients in removal proceedings before various Immigration Courts. Elisa, additionally, leads the statewide rapid response legal services program in Wisconsin. In her role, Elisa frequently collaborates with a variety of stakeholders in local and state government, non-profit and NGOs, education and health leaders, legal service providers, law enforcement, labor, and faith based organizations to coordinate response to Wisconsinites affected by immigration detention. Elisa is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Elisa immigrated to the United States from Venezuela, 30 years ago. Elisa earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School and is a licensed attorney in the State of WIsconsin. Elisa earned a Masters of Public Administration from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University.
