William Parke-Sutherland

William is the Government Affairs Director for Kids Forward, steering their broad legislative and administrative advocacy efforts. He also leads Kids Forward’s health policy advocacy, protecting and expanding access to affordable, quality health coverage and care and moving toward a system with universal access to health care for all, especially for those impacted by health disparities and in cycles of poverty. William has over 15 years of experience advocating for and analyzing Wisconsin’s Medicaid programs and served on the Governor’s Health Equity Council. Previously, William served as executive director for a statewide mental health advocacy and peer support organization where he engaged policymakers, providers, and other stakeholders to redress barriers and build power with people with mental health challenges. When not diving into policy, William is listening to legal and other nerdy podcasts, playing pool, and hiking around Wisconsin.
