Stephanie Janeth Salgado Altamirano (She/Ella/They/Elle) At the age of 24 Stephanie is an experienced organizer with nearly a decade working at the intersection of climate justice, racial justice, Indigenous rights, and immigrants. They immigrated to the U.S. from Tegucigalpa, Honduras at 14 and were radicalized by firsthand experiences of injustices faced by BIPOC communities, low-income people, immigrants, and people with disabilities. Stephanie has found the power of everyday people when leading and supporting climate strikes, student walkouts, fundraisers for water protectors, organized labor unions, coordinated political education programs, and coordinated direct actions. She centers leadership development - organizing people into leaders who build a political analysis to move forward in a joyful militancy towards liberation and structural reconstruction.
