Stephanie Roadese

While Stephanie’s career work has been in telecom engineering for the past 25 years, her heart work has been in anti-oppression, environmental and social/racial justice organizing since she was in high school. The past 10 years she has been leading and co-learning with Showing Up For Racial Justice - SURJ MKE and for 20+ years leading Bystander Intervention De-Escalation trainings across the nation, including scenario specific trainings with The Frontline and Election Defenders. Stephanie was raised in the Bay Area of California, but earned a BS degree in Behavioral Sociology and Africology from UW-Milwaukee and now calls Milwaukee home, where she is a writer, artist, cat manager, and is dedicated to creating educational and harm reduction workshops, spaces for unlearning racism and white supremacy, with the commitment to assist in working towards collective healing in Milwaukee.
