Sangita Nayak spends her days facilitating learning with children at Fernwood Montessori, as a public elementary teacher. She is guided by the children’s vision and organizes in community, so staff, students, and families can push for the world they deserve. Prior to her current teaching job, she planned and created a flourishing K8 dual language Montessori school in her neighborhood.
 Grounded in social justice and guided by community vision, Sangita has worked alongside colleagues at 9to5 National Association of Working Women, The Praxis Project, and the Hmong American Women’s Association. She consulted for groups such as The Sikh Coalition, Freedom Inc., Voces, and The Virginia Center for Inclusion. Outside of her teaching, she remains a consultant with the Milwaukee Turners.
