Esty Dinur

Esty Dinur is a long-time journalist  and the former Artistic Director of the Madison World Music Festival as well as the Marketing, Communications and Community Relations Director of the Wisconsin Union Theater. Esty was born in Israel to a Holocaust survivor father and a mother who survived the Nazi bombing of London. At age 14 she became a supporter of, and activist for Palestinian human rights and a Pelestinian state. Many years later, as she watches her two countries committing genocide against the Palestinians, she is more devoted than ever to that cause.

When she is not busy with political and journalistic work, Esty dances, grows vegetables and fruits which she then cooks or preserves and shares with others, meditates and has deep conversations about, among other things, the spirituality that drives her work in the world. Whenever possible, she visits her beloved children and grandchildren who live in others states.
