Dennis Franklin
Dennis Franklin is the Associate Director of EX-incarcerated People Organizing (EXPO) of Wisconsin, where he helps guide the organization’s statewide advocacy, leadership development, and reentry initiatives. A dedicated leader shaped by his own experience with incarceration, Dennis works to ensure that people coming home are met with dignity, opportunity, and community.
In his role, Dennis supports EXPO’s core initiatives, including Workforce Development, Expanding Recovery, Restorative Justice, and Unlock the Vote, helping to build pathways for formerly incarcerated people to thrive. He is deeply committed to grassroots organizing and civic engagement, playing a central role in mobilizing communities to challenge barriers such as extended supervision, forced prison labor, and the high costs of prison communication.
Dennis is also a mentor and peer support advocate, walking alongside people as they navigate reentry and build new lives. His leadership reflects EXPO’s mission to create systems of belonging and hope, and his voice is recognized across Wisconsin as a powerful force for justice, healing, and change.
