Alinne Ramirez
Alinne Ramirez is a community leader, organizer, and advocate for the provision of mental health services, women’s reproductive rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, and immigrant rights.
As a child she immigrated from Mexico City to Wisconsin with her mother and sisters. From a young age Alinne proudly represented her heritage throughout the United States, dancing with Milwaukee-based Ballet Folklorico Mexicano. Her story was featured in the American Doll book, Marisol.
Alinne has worked in the mental health field for the past 10 years. In this work, she has collaborated with Diversity Services Coordinators and various community treatment teams to ensure quality care for patients, provision of services, and transition to successful community reintegration. She has worked with local advocacy organizations to create safe spaces for Latine LGBTQIA+ in the Madison area.
Alinne continues to actively work on community outreach to provide resources to immigrant communities and allies in Dane County, focusing her energy and advocacy work on volunteering with Voces de La Frontera-Madison Chapter. She is a trainer for Know Your Rights workshops, and Rapid Response Verifiers. She helped organize and led the march to the Wisconsin State Capitol for the May 2025 Day Without Immigrants and Workers Rally.
